A PROJECT OF FZML IN COOPERATION WITH WERK 2
9th - 11th February 2016 | WERK 2 Leipzig
For three days the FZML will celebrate its 25th anniversary and intensify its program with contemporary music, electronic music, DJing, poetry, films and readings to a broad survey under the motto ALTZEIT NEU. The performances cover the time span from the predecessor of the FZML, around the »Gruppe Neue Musik Hanns Eisler«, throughout the hard years of development and right into the present day. In connection with other art forms and beyond superficial 'aha-moments', the festival offers some of the best, thought-provoking and entertaining artists of the scene.

The program of the popular pianist Jan Gerdes is an exciting contrast of compositions from east and west as well as a trip through the history and previous history of the FZML.

Fabrizio Nocci aka Solenoid [electronics], Jan Gerdes [piano/synthesizer]
The collaboration between the Italian DJ, composer and techno producer Fabrizio Nocci, who lives in Berlin, and the pianist Jan Gerdes, dissolves the borders between the club and the concert hall digitally and analog almost entirely.

The birthday performance is a total work of art, consisting of electronic and live music, video, ballet, and breakdance. This is also a political evening that will feature world-known artists, who probably won't appear in that combination again.
